conductive
education
Conductive Education is an educational approach to
cerebral palsy which helps individuals develop the skills and motivation
they need to overcome problems of movement and bodily control they
encounter in everyday living.
Conductive Education was developed by the Hungarian
physician, András Petö, in Budapest in the years immediately following
World War II. In 1986, a national charity called the Foundation
for Conductive Education was founded "to advance and develop
the science and skill of Conductive Education in the UK."
