who
we help
The
children who are served by CHASA may have some or all of the following
conditions:
hemiplegia: paralysis
of one side of the body
hemiparesis: partial
paralysis of one side of the body
stroke: many of the
children have hemipareis or hemiplegia due to an early infarct
seizure disorder or
epilepsy as a result of the early brain injury
speech, language, and/or
feeding problems
learning differences,
mental challenges
happy, grumpy, excited,
sad, frustrated, smart, adaptive, caring, loving kids
We refer parents to
the Hemi-Kids online support
group which consists of the following members:
parents of children with
hemiplegia, hemiparesis, childhood stroke
adults who have had
hemiplegia or hemiparesis since childhood
caregivers
and teachers of children with hemiplegia
